These grants of $20,000 and above are to provide operational and other forms of support to established organisations, many of which have previously been granted funds by the Trust and are working with others to make a measurable impact in our region.
The Trust approves fewer Community Support grants, the applications for which undergo a much more stringent review process than applications to the Quick Response round to ensure alignment with the Trust's aims and priorities. Funding history and capacity to deliver are critical factors in the assessment process.

Important: Community Support rounds open at least one month before applications are due and close on the last business day of the month of the round (eg, June rounds open towards the end of May and close the last working day of June).
Only ONE Quick Response or Community Support grant can be allocated to an organisation per calendar year, except in exceptional circumstances.

Funding applications are submitted through a grants management system called SmartyGrants. There is no Community Support round open currently. The March round will open towards the end of February.
Approximately 8 week turnaround from closing date
Organisation submits application
Trust completes full Trust review and final decisions
Trust informs applicant of outcome
Organisation submits grantee acquittal
The Trust requires an acquittal statement from grantees outlining how the funds have been used. This must be submitted through SmartyGrants within the time specified.
