WEL Networks Ltd – Discount to customers from 31 March 2013

As a community owned organisation, WEL Networks is returning an annual discount totalling $21.8 million to our customers in 2013.

Customers with an active and non-vacant connection to WEL’s Central Waikato networks at 5pm, 31 March 2013, will receive the discount, regardless of who your electricity retailer is

The discount is based on a proportion of the lines charges incurred at the customer’s address over the previous 12 months

The WEL Networks discount will appear as a credit transaction on your account, regardless of your energy retailer.

Your discount will depend on how much electricity you have used over the previous year.
The discount scheme has been operating since 2002/2003 and is administered by the Company and not the Trust. As 100% shareholders of the Company however the Trust endorses and supports the discount scheme.
